Radio pharmaceutical and Radioisotope
Using a 30 MW of multipurpose research reactor (MPR-30), a wide variety of radioisotopes have been produced for medical,
research and industrial purposes. The production facilities consist of several hot-cells complete with master-slave manipulators.
The facilities are capable of producing more than 20 kinds of radioisotopes, including Mo-99, I-125, I-131, P-32, Sm- 153,
The radiopharmaceuticals are produced with an aseptic technique. The production processes (formulation; dispensing, freeze
drying) are under taken in a class 10.000 and class 100 rooms to prevent the products from microbial contamination.
In order to secure the product quality and to meet the customer specification, a Quality Assurance program of including GMP
(Good Manufacturing Practice) is applied. This is strictly required during all stages of processing including raw material testing,
personnel qualification, equipment, calibration, as well as hygiene and the document administration system.
